Leawanna Kitty Beard, of Howe, Oklahoma was born January 2, 1951, in Heavener, Oklahoma to John and Edna (Waymire) Walkup and passed away November 6, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 68.
Leawanna is survived by her husband Don Beard; daughters Donna Beard and Jennifer and John Herman; brothers John and Carol Walkup and David and Robin Walkup; a sister Peggy Dill; grandchildren Natashia Berry, Maranda Berry, Joshua Berry, Serenity Poole; great grandchildren Tristan Berry, David Berry, Oliver Berry, Jayceon Berry-Griffin, Jessilee Berry-Sosa, Jenavieve Berry-Sosa, Kash Berry and McKenzie Berry; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Leawanna was preceded in death by her parents. She loved being a mother and grandmother, retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield as a Medicare Specialist, and a member of Springhill Baptist Church.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday November 9, 2019, at Springhill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Monroe Cemetery, with Dr. Don Laughlin and Pastor Greg Oppenhuis officiating. The family will greet friends Friday 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Grace Funeral Services of Poteau, Oklahoma.
