Linda Kay Ricketts
Linda Kay Ricketts, age 75, passed away June 2nd , 2017. She was born November 8, 1941 in Topeka, Kansas, daughter of Ruth and Joe Dodds who preceded her in death. Linda was cherished and will be missed by her husband Joe Ricketts, daughter Christi Martin of Martinsburg, West Virginia, brother Rick (Carol) of Wichita, Kansas, step daughter Karin Ricketts of Denton Texas and many extended family members and friends, old and new. In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated and a family celebration of her life will be held in Wichita, KS on June 24th. Linda had varied experiences in her working career as an airline ticket agent on Wall Street NYC,NY, a dental assistant Bayshore NY, a teachers aide for Cerebral Palsy of West Islip NY and manager of insurance and billing for a medical practice in Plano, Texas. Upon Linda and Joe's retirements in Plano they sought a place to relax and enjoy natural beauty. Their search settled on Poteau, OK where Linda enjoyed the community, her lessons with the Poteau Valley Strummers (although was anxious about the dulcimer performances), her home on Cavanal Hill, and the friends she made there. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her time on her deck or curled up a good book on her couch with her dog Kinsey. Share your condolences at www.gracemanorfh.com.
