Linda Gale (Cox) Wilson, a young at heart 71 year old, of Cameron, Oklahoma, received her new guts on July 2, 2022 at her home. She was a devoted wife, an extraordinary mom, a lovingly accommodating Granny, and a doting Nene.
She is survived by her husband of 53 1/2 years, Mike Sr., of the home, sons, Mike Jr. and wife Darylann of Cameron, Oklahoma, Toby and wife Stephanie of Cameron, Oklahoma; grandsons, Cody Johnson and wife Cynthia of Roswell, New Mexico, Derrick Johnson and girlfriend Kylah of Shady Point, Oklahoma, Andrew Wilson and wife Charla of Cameron, Oklahoma; granddaughters,Tabitha Billings and husband JB of Cameron, Oklahoma, Jasi; great granddaughter, Madilynn great grandson, Zander; special friend Chiquita Goines; sisters Edna Butner and husband Jim of Corona, California, Anna Mae Church of Rock Island, Oklahoma, Debra Steward and husband Pat of Overguaard, Arizona; one brother, Dave Cox and wife Linda of Greenwood, Arkansas; along with numerous loved ones, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Cox, Sr. and Mary Frances Bowden Cox; brothers, Robert Lee Cox, Jr. and Joe Harold Cox; one sister, Betty Joe Cox Rainwater, and one son, Jefferson Neal Wilson.
She loved going "junkin", was very active at church, spoiling her children, grandchildren, and especially her great grandchildren. You were likely to find her on her porch swing listening to her old-time rock-n-roll, tending to her flowers, or searching for Betty Boop items for her collection. Her favorite color was red. You would never catch her without her lipstick applied, no matter what she was up to.
Pallbearers will be; Cody Johnson, Derrick Johnson, Tim Church, Ray Smith, Zac Wilson, and Taylor Cox. Honorary pallbearers will be; Henry Nixon, Shane Cox, JB Billings, Andrew Wilson, Rick Jones, and Kelsey Wilson.
Funeral Services will be 10:00am Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Grace Memorial Chapel in Poteau, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron, Oklahoma under the direction of Grace Funeral Service in Poteau, Oklahoma. Viewing will be 9:00am - 7:00pm Wednesday with the family greeting friends from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at the funeral home.
