Marcia Faye Ferguson, 62, of Shady Point, OK, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 31, 2015, in Shady Point. Marcia was born January 18, 1953 to Burley Nickelson and Genevieve Cain Nickelson, and raised by her step mother Violet Idel in Pacific, Missouri; where she met and married the love of her life, Robert Michael (Mike) Ferguson, Sr. on March 25, 1972.
After travelling across the world throughout his army service, the couple settled in Shady Point in 1985; with their two children, Robert Michael (Mike) Ferguson, Jr. and Sandra Lynn LaForest, where she quickly became a part of the community. Marcia was well known for her kindness, generosity and wonderful homemade goodies. She was quick to help anyone in need with a warm smile, and spent her time doting on her grandchildren and step grandchildren, hitting jackpots on the reels, fishing when she could, and feeding her birds.
Marcia is survived by her husband of 43 years, Mike Ferguson, Sr. of Shady Point; her son Mike Ferguson, Jr. and wife Angie, of Ft. Smith, AR; her daughter, Sandra LaForest and her husband, Brett, of Lees Summit, MO; her grandchildren, Jenna Lockaby, Brittany Lamb, Kimber Lockaby and Brenden Ferguson; step grandchildren Laura Coughran, Sarah Coughran, Dennis Conghran and Fiona LaForest; great grandchildren Brittany, Shelby, Dalton, Dillon, Jaxon, Reiley, Marlee and baby Lockaby-Bailey; her sisters Nicki Luebbert, Teresa Noll, Evelyn Strope and several more siblings, nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
Marcia is preceded in death by her parents, step parents, and sister Bertha Nickelson.
