Margaret French, 85, of Cameron, OK, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015, in Fort Smith, AR. She was born December 10, 1929, in Wagoner, OK, to Eli M. and Helen (Jacoby) Hall. Margaret and her husband, R.E. Bud French established the French Ranch in Cameron, OK, in 1953. Margaret worked tirelessly as a ranchers wife, hired hand, gopher, financial manager, and the proud matriarch of the French Family. She will be remembered for her large gardens, her Nana corn, her delicious meals and desserts especially her pies, her compassion and her witty personality.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of sixty-eight years, R.E. Bud French, and a brother Lee J. Hall.

Survivors include three children; Buddy and wife Pam French of Poteau, OK, Pat Pickle of Poteau, OK and Pam and husband Darrell Howard, of Mulhall, OK; two brothers, J.B. Hall and Sherman Hall both of Wagoner, OK; two sisters, Mary Harding of Inola, OK and Betty McCoy of Wagoner, OK; seven grandchildren, Justin Pickle of Poteau, Eli and wife Mandy French of Poteau, Jake and wife Jen French of Cameron, OK, Brady Howard of Roanoke, TX Brandon Howard of Mulhall, OK, Brad and wife Natalie Huddleston of Moore, OK and Kyla and husband Brent Jenkins of Poteau, OK; nine great grandchildren, Megan, Lexe, Maci, Greenlee, Parker, Jett, Drake, Avery and Rayna. She will be sorely missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many dear friends and neighbors.
Pallbearers will be Buddy French, Justin Pickle, Eli French, Jake French, Brady Howard and Brandon Howard.
Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 13, 2015, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, OK, with Jeff Jensen officiating. Interment will follow service at Fair Hill Cemetery, Cameron, OK. The family will greet friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home, Poteau, OK.
