Obituary

Mary Weaver was promoted to her heavenly home on May 8, 2023 in Poteau, Oklahoma.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at The Pentecostal Church in Poteau, Oklahoma with Rev. Taylor Pollard officiating. Viewing hours will be Wednesday May 10, 2023 from 12pm -7pm at Grace Funeral Service in Poteau, Oklahoma.
Mary was born on August 31, 1943 and was preceded in death by parents Floyd and Gracie Mildred (Hancock) Killion, brothers; Gerold and Dale Killion, sisters; Judy Killion, Joyce Perry, Syble Perry, and niece Bobbie Lee Anderson. She is survived by husband Alford Weaver, daughters; Renee Weaver, Mary Michelle Turner and special honorary daughter, Andrea Golden-Pogue, grandchildren; Christie Hetherington, Carla Holcomb, Dylan (DCon) Holcomb, Michael Andrew Turner JR, and special honorary grandson Parker Joe Pogue, great grandchildren; Savannah Grace Hetherington, Saylor Lee Holcomb, Saige Lillie Holcomb, and Olivia Grace Turner, brother; Bud Killion, sisters; Janey Francis, Gayle Williamson, Connie Bazzell, Kathy Richards, and Sherry Barlow.
Mary retired from serving as Quality Control for Arundale in Poteau, OK and then went on to retire from her work in the cafeteria at Poteau Public Schools. She was a woman of prayer in Apostolic Faith. Her most treasured occupations were wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. There are so many treasured moments and memories they cannot be placed within this obituary.
Marys favorite color is red, so those attending the service may wear something red in her honor.
Pallbearers will be Ashley Dale Killion, Joe Don Perry, Ronnie Pogue, Donnie Perry, Wesley Weaver, and Bud Killion.
Honorary pallbearers will be Marty Holcomb, Dylan Connor Holcomb, Parker Joe Pogue, and Michael A. Turner JR
The family would like to also acknowledge the special loving care that Mary received during her brief stay in The Oaks by their staff, especially, Will, Jolee, Ashley, Breanna, and the Aides that assisted in her daily care. The family also sends their heartfelt thanks to CURA Hospice and Palliative Care staff, especially, Audra, Nancy, Denise, Carnie, Kaci, and Ann.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Pentecostal Church Building Fund in Poteau Ok and/or the Alzheimers Association in Mary Weavers name.
