Mary Maxine (Mathies) Williams of Bossier City, Louisiana was born June 28, 1931 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Herbert and Effie (Gibson) Mathies and passed away July 7, 2021 in Bossier City, Louisiana at the age of 90.
She is survived by her sons, Randy and Jenny Williams, Jeff and Gayle Williams, and Chris and Melissa Williams; sister, Pat Pitchford; brother, Coy and Kathy Mathies; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a host of other friends and loved ones.
Mary was proceeded in death by her parents Herbert and Effie Mathies; grandson, Jake Williams; brothers and sister-in-laws, Cecil and Bettye Mathies, Wiley and Wanda Mathies, and Mike Mathies. She was a member of Haven Heights Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas and attended Simple Church in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Pallbearers will be Brian Gilreath, Eli Gilreath, Forrest Been, Luke Williams, Logan Jernigan, and Ryan Jackson.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 am Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Grace Memorial Chapel Poteau, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, Oklahoma. The family will greet friends from 6:00 PM 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Grace Funeral Service of Poteau, Oklahoma.
