Michael Rex Proffitt of Spiro, Oklahoma was born February 10, 1967 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Rex and Rebecca (Lane) Proffitt and passed away January 22, 2025 at his home in Spiro, Oklahoma at the age of 57.

Michael was a Food Manager for Ingles Food Market. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A family memorial gathering will be Sunday. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Cremation Center of Poteau, Oklahoma.
