Oma Mae Crandell, 80, of Cameron, OK, passed away August 30, 2014, in Cameron. She was born March 5, 1934, in Cameron, OK, to Henry Herman and Flora Bell (Potter) Carpenter. She was a seamstress at Hamlin Manufacturing.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Thomas Crandell; a daughter Sherril Williams; a son Johnny Ray Crandell.
Oma is survived by three sons, Pete and wife Misty Crandell of Poteau, OK, Billy Crandell of Cameron, OK and Michael and wife Johnna Carpenter of Cameron, OK; four daughters, Kathy Rogers of Pocola, OK, Jeanie Hale of Ft. Smith, AR, Debra Layton of Sallisaw, OK and Melissa Williams of Cameron, OK; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; three brothers, Carrol Carpenter, Theo Carpenter and Bill Carpenter all of Cameron, OK ; a sister, Dorean Bethell of Talihina, OK; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at Greenhill Cemetery Pavilion, Cameron, OK with Rev. Tim Painter officiating. Interment will follow service at Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron, OK. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
