Oran Ray Buttress, 81, Shady Point, OK passed away, January 17, 2012, in Poteau. He was born January 3, 1930, at Cameron, OK, to Charley and Flora (Hall) Buttress. Oran was a retired Whirlpool factory worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Charlene Evans and Neva Spurlin.
Oran is survived by his wife Alicia Buttress of the home; a son Tom Buttress of Oklahoma City, OK; a sister Silva Rogers of Shady Point, OK; two nephews, Bill and David Kinsey; as well as a host of other family members, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Billy Kinsey, David Kinsey, Jim Dunkin, Lee Harman, Fred Hensley and Tom Buttress.
Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, OK, with Bro. Jeff Little officiating. Interment will follow service at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK. Family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday evening at the funeral home.
