Obituary

Orville R. Fry, 89, Poteau, OK, passed away May 20, 2010, in Poteau, OK. He was born May 27, 1920, at Shady Point, OK, to Ralph Quitman and Ethel Elizabeth (Bonds) Fry. He was a retired sheet metal worker at Douglas Aircraft. Orville was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He loved to fish and go to car races and was member of the First Baptist Church in Shady Point.
Orville was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Margaret Kirkland, a daughter Jerri Vishkoff, and three grandchildren.
Orville is survived by four sons, Mike and wife Dot Fry of Ft. Smith, AR, Kenneth Lovell of Poteau, Jimmy Lovell of Panama, and Ronnie and wife Nita Lovell of Poteau; three daughters, Mary and husband Al Monks of Panama, OK, Linda and husband David Stroup of Bokoshe, OK, Sharon and husband John Steele of California; a sister Earline and Louis Winfrey of Tulsa, OK; twenty four grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Wade Burlew, Todd Fry, Kenny Winfrey, Jim Brown, Al Monks, and Jeff Monks.
Funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church, Shady Point, OK, at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 22, 2010, with the Bro. Larry Matthiesen officiating. Interment will follow service at Shady Point Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau. You may leave an on-line greeting to the family at www.gracemanorfh.com
