Owen D. Harrison, age 84, of Nevada, MO, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014, in Nevada. He was born April 4, 1930, in Poteau, OK, to Herman and Carrie (Walker) Harrison. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War and a retired Captain of the Tulsa Fire Dept.
Owen was preceded in death by his parents, a son Darrell Owen Harrison, a daughter Karen Francis, and two brothers Raymond and Bob Harrison
Survivors include his wife Mary Harrison of the home; two daughters, Sharon Tuter and husband Rick of Broken Arrow, OK and Barbara Fowler and husband Sam of Nevada, MO; a brother James Harrison of Tulsa, OK; daughter in law Janice Harrison of Panama, OK; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family members, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Sam Fowler, Rick Tuter, Nick Williams, Rickey Tuter, Kyle Tuter and Tom Stepien.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2014, at the Assembly of God Church in Panama, OK. Interment will follow service at Fairview Cemetery, Panama, OK. Family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau, OK.
