Patricia Gail (Johnson) Green of Talihina, Oklahoma was born April 28, 1939 in Bemidji, Minnesota to Phillip Clyde and Vera Martha (La Chapelle) Johnson and passed away October 31, 2024 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 85.
She is survived by:
One daughter:
Lisa Cantrell and husband Clint of Falfa, Oklahoma
Three sons:
Curtis Green of Whitesboro, Oklahoma
Phillip Green of Whitesboro, Oklahoma
Thurman Green and wife Kim of Talihina, Oklahoma
18 grandchildren
Numerous great-grandchildren
Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loved ones, and a host of friends
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd "Doc" Green; one son, Floyd Mark Green; and one sister, Marilyn Guglemetti. Pat was a long-time resident of the area and a homemaker. She grew up in Northern California, where she graduated from McArthur High School; a logging community, where she met and married Floyd "Doc" Green in 1957 in Reno, Nevada. They traveled back and forth from California to Oklahoma for several years until settling down in his hometown of Whitesboro, Oklahoma; where they raised their family at the foot of the Kiamichi Mountains. Pat was a friend to many that gathered at their home to visit. She would take in and care for many over the years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the Falfa Baptist Church Community Building. The family will have a private burial of cremains at a later date in the Whitesboro Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Grace Funeral Service of
Poteau, Oklahoma.
