Obituary of: Peter Franklin Bretz
Peter Pete Franklin Bretz, aged 70, of Panama, OK, was born to Sam and Pearl Bretz, in Poteau, OK, on December 1, 1943 and passed from this life on December 7, 2013 in Ft. Smith, AR. Pete retired from Whirlpool Corp. where he had worked for 40 years; many of those years were in the maintenance department. Pete enjoyed woodworking, fishing, watching his grandson play baseball and basketball, his granddaughters swim meets and art projects, and Sooner football.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Margaret Sherriff, and a brother Sammy Bretz.
Pete is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Judy D. (Darneal) Bretz; daughter Kimberly Wilson and husband Paul of Broken Arrow, OK, daughter Jody Short of Panama, OK; granddaughters Autumn, Kelsey, and Katelyn (Dani) Wilson of Broken Arrow; grandson Brody Pete Short of Panama, OK; adopted daughter Lora Dill of McCurtain, OK; adopted son Billy Cook of Poteau, OK; and a host of other family members, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Gary Gann, Mike Donathan, J.C. Remy, Jr. Hartsfield, Mike Reeves and Howard Carruth.
Services will be held, Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Victory Worship Center in Spiro, OK at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Duke Bennett officiating. Interment will follow service at Fairview Cemetery in Panama, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home Poteau.
