Obituary for
Ramona LaNell (Lee) Mitchell
Ramona Mitchell, 85, of Wister, OK, passed away March 15, 2014, in Wister. She was born July 17, 1928 in Poteau, OK, to James Harvey and Verlan (Neal) Lee. She was a retired school teacher.
Ramona is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bill Mitchell; a daughter Sherry Ann Brown; a grandson Rusty Brown; four brothers, Ed, Earnest, James, and Billy Lee.
She was survived by three sons Dennie Lee Brown and wife Rose, Donald Gene Brown and wife Jamie and Bobby Darrel Brown and wife Lora, all of Tahlequah, OK; two daughters Mona Gayle Mize and husband Curtis of Poteau, OK and Sharlene "Shon" Mitchell of Wister, OK; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a sister Noma Curtis of Poteau, OK; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many more family members, friends and loved ones.
Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, OK, with Bro. Jeff Little officiating. Interment will follow service at Ellis Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
