Ray Carrol Carpenter of Cameron, Oklahoma was born on April 15, 1932 in Cameron, Oklahoma to Henry Herman (Bud) and Flora Bell (Potter) Carpenter and passed away November 9, 2019, in Van Buren, Arkansas at the age of 87.
Ray is survived by his wife Virginia Carpenter, sons Glenn Carpenter, and Greg and Cheryl Carpenter, a daughter Donna and Greg Duncan, brothers Theo Carpenter and Bill Carpenter, a sister Doreen Bethel, grandchildren Toby and Kyla Carpenter Daws, Justin and Robyn Carpenter, Brian and Tiffany Carpenter, Sarah and Abraham Diaz and Katherine Duncan, great grandchildren Madi, Hailie, Austin, Jaden, Jaxton, Aubrey, Ellie, John, and Takota as well a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Doris Ferguson, Oma May Crandell and Ola Dean Davis.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at Grace Memorial Chapel in Poteau, Oklahoma with burial at Greenhill Cemetery Cameron, Oklahoma. There will be No Viewing or Visitation for Mr. Carpenter. Services are under the direction of Grace Funeral Services of Poteau, Oklahoma.
