Ricardo S. Cando, 86, of Spiro, OK, passed away February 13, 2011. He was born September 6, 1924, in, Mexico, to Antonio and Martina (Salgado) Cando. He worked as a retired manager for Thrifty Drug. Ricardo married Joyce Nadine Fout on April 15, 1973 in Las Vegas, NV.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a stepdaughter Teresa Painter.
He is survived by his wife Joyce of the home; a son Richard Cando Jr. and wife JoAnn of LaMesa, CA; a daughter Lydia Combs and Perry of LaMesa, CA; a step son Harvey Painter Jr. and wife Aleesa of Ft. Smith, AR; three step daughters Brenda McCage and husband Russell of Shady Point, OK, Linda Durant and husband Richard of Bokoshe, OK, and Sandra Painter of San Bernardino, CA; twenty seven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other family members, friends, and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Heath Gregory, Johnny Painter, Ronnie Painter, George Dominguez, Stacy Wiles, Lee Fout, Brian Fout and Russell McCage Jr.
Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, OK with Pastor Tim Painter officiating. Interment will follow service at Shady Point Cemetery, Shady Point, OK. Family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Services under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home, Poteau, Oklahoma.
