Obituary for
Dr. Robert Wayne "Bob" Fields
Dr. Robert "Bob" Fields, 60, of Wister, OK, passed away April 2, 2014, in Poteau, OK. He was born April 29, 1953, in McAlester, OK, to James William and Elsie Mae (Mankin) Fields. He was a proud Red Oak Eagle, a graduate of the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and owner of Okie Blue Sky Cattle Company and SouthEast Animal Health and Hardware. His most fulfilling accomplishment was being "Papa" to his six grandchildren.
Bob is preceded in death by his father James Fields and a son Brad Fields.
He is survived by his wife Donna Fields of the home; his son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Erin Fields of Poteau, OK; his daughter and son-in-law Beth and Adam Phillips of Wister, OK; his mother Elsie Mae Fields of Red Oak, OK; his three brothers Jim Fields and wife Linda of Norman, OK, Steve Fields and wife Lisa of Red Oak, OK, and Stan Fields also of Red Oak, OK; his six grandchildren Mackenzie Patterson, Fynn and Graham and Nolan Phillips, Owen and Eden Fields; his mother-in-law Darlene Taylor of Wister, OK; his uncle and aunt John and June Fields of Red Oak, OK; his aunt Imogene Vineyard of Enid, OK; his brother-in-law Eddie Martin of Red Oak, OK; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many more family members, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Randy Burgess, Shane Turnipseed, Janaro Diaz, Scott Shadwick, Clint Smith, David Steen and David Turner.
Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Cross Community Church, Immanuel Campus, Poteau, OK, with Bro. Bryan Fields and Mr. Sam Walden officiating. Interment will follow service at Ellis Chapel Cemetery, Wister, OK. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
