Viewing for Robert Lee Spoon, 71 of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 6:00pm- 8:00pm on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Agent-Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Muldrow, Oklahoma. The family will hold a private service at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Grace Funeral Service in Poteau, Oklahoma.
Robert was born on December 24, 1949 in Nicut, Oklahoma to Bertha (Wilkey) Byrd and Robert Lee Spoon and passed away on November 18, 2021 in Spiro, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; Robert "Lee" Spoon and Bertha Byrd, brother; Danny Spoon, and grandson, Chase Carver. Robert was a retired supervisor for Forsgren construction and a heavy equipment operator. He loved fishing, classic westerns, NASCAR, cooking and grilling for family and friends. He also loved classic cars and working on them, he even restored a 1955 Chevy. Marval was his favorite place to camp and fish for trout on the Illinois River.
Survivors include the mother of his children and care giver, Earlene Spoon; daughter Sonia Carver and husband Clay; son, Robert Earl Spoon and wife Cherylind; sisters, Betty Brenneman, Kathy Rozzlle, Mary Neighbors and husband Joe; brother, Mike Spoon and wife Norma; grandchildren, Blake Farmer, Justin Spoon, Casey Stafford, Robert E. Spoon; great grandchildren, Natasha, Taylynn, Chevelle, Taven, numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends
