Robert Ray Sturgeon of Hollister, Missouri was born February 13, 1955 in Houston, Texas to Ray and Shirley (Bomer) Sturgeon and passed away December 31, 2020 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 65.
He is survived by his wife Janie Sturgeon; a son, Chris and Jennifer Gollihare; grandchildren, Kylee Gollihare and Cooper Gollihare; sisters, Patty and husband Trino Muniz and Tina and husband Eddie Pitts, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Rick Sturgeon.
Pallbearers will be Matt Kinsey, Marvin Phillips, Billy Rhyne, Keith Perrenoud, Ricky Sturgeon, and Nick Sturgeon.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Fort Smith National Cemetery Fort Smith, Arkansas. Services are under the direction of Grace Funeral Service in Poteau, Oklahoma. Viewing will be 10:00am 7:00pm, Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the funeral home.
The family has asked everyone attending the service to please wear a mask.
