Robert William "Dub" Watson, 88, passed away on December 15, 2025 in Poteau, Oklahoma.  He was born in Long Beach, California on October 4, 1937, to Ralph Edward and Bonnie P. (Bittle) Watson.

Dub was a retired Newspaper Manager for the Mercury News in San Jose, California. He also was an independent contractor and delivered newspapers. Dub was a Veteran of the United States Army, where he served his country for two years. He was an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers, liked listening to Merle Haggard, and he also loved helping his friends and family.

Cremation arrangements are under the care of Dowden-Roberts Funeral & Cremation Center of Poteau, Oklahoma.
