Rosemary Elizabeth (Seitz) Carey of Poteau, Oklahoma (formerly of Luzerne, Pennsylvania) was born September 17, 1944 in Kingston, Pennsylvania to Henry and Anna Mary (Karalunis) Seitz and passed away March 25, 2025 in Poteau, Oklahoma at the age of 80.

She is survived by:

David Seitz of Luzerne, PA

Two granddaughters:

Haylee Seitz and Zoey Seitz

Her nieces:

Lee Ann Seitz of Dallas, PA

Sarah Johnson of Nanticoke, PA

Krissy Johnson of Nanticoke, PA

Numerous other loved ones and a host of friends

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Henry Seitz; a sister, Margaret Johnson; and a niece, Janeen Seitz.

She was a God-fearing Christian woman, loved animals, especially her rescued Jack Russell. Rosemary loved to cook and create her own recipes, to read, and crochet. She would always look for the positives in any setback and would go out of her way to help anyone at any time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to an animal shelter, rescue, or church in Rosemary's name.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Cremation Services of Poteau, Oklahoma.
