Obituary of: Ruby Gullick
Ruby Gullick, 68, of Poteau, OK, passed away October 4, 2013, in Ft. Smith, AR. She was born September 12, 1945, in Maysville, OK. She achieved a degree in Early Childhood Development from Carl Albert State College and operated a Child Care Center in her home.
She was preceded in death by her mother Burdell Oakes; a brother Everett Oakes; and a sister Patricia Oakes-Johnson
Ruby is survived by her husband Benny Gullick of the home; four sons Benny Gullick Jr. of Poteau, OK, Billy Gullick of Heavener, OK, Danny Gullick of Poteau, OK, and Dennis Gullick of Heavener, OK; a daughters Mary Jo Breashears of Poteau, OK; four brothers, Johnny Oakes of Tucson, AZ, Tom Oakes of Poteau, OK, Garey Oakes of Muskogee, OK and Mickey Oakes of Loveland, Co; two sisters, Monty Langdell of Poteau and Mary Butler of Van Buren, AR; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Benny Gullick Jr., Billy Gullick , Danny Gullick, Dennis Gullick, Clayton Morgan, and Danny Wayne Breashears. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Robertson and Wayne Breashers.
Services will be Tuesday, October 8, at 11:00 a.m. at the Oakland Cemetery Pavilion, Poteau, OK with Pastor Brian Smith officiating. Interment will follow service. Family will greet friends Monday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
