Smith Ford Montgomery
Smith Montgomery, 65, of Wilburton, OK, passed away January 29, 2014, in Wilburton. He was born September 27, 1948 in Plattsburg, Missouri to William and Lula Lee (Ford) Montgomery. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Viet Nam where he received a Purple Heart; retired from OG & E after twenty-five years of service and was dedicated to Special Olympics.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Wendell Montgomery, John Montgomery and Tom Montgomery.
Smith is survived by a daughter Amelia Amye Glen of Purcell, OK; two brothers, Bill Montgomery of Columbus, GA, and Ted Montgomery of Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Mary Douglas of Stover, MO and Judy Brehm of Kansas City, MO; extended family, Brock Rutledge, Tracy Seabolt, Hannah Shadwick, Brian Shadwick, Cody Shadwick, Misty and Wes Ritter, Mark and Bonnie Baker; numerous other friends, family and loved ones..
Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, OK, with Bro. Jeff Little officiating. Interment will be at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
