Stephen Ray Carter, 56, of Bokoshe, OK, passed away January 1, 2011. He was born June 8, 1954, in Poteau, OK, to Gilbert and Geneva (Smith) Carter. He worked for Center Point Energy for 26 years.
Stephen was preceded in death by his mother.
He is survived by his wife Sandra P. (Bourne) Carter of the home; two sons, Samuel Austin Carter also of the home and Jonathan Carter and wife Nikki of Bokoshe, OK; three grandchildren, Colton Carter, Cierra Carter and Nikayla Carter; as well as numerous other family, friends, and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Mike Bell, Bill Lafferty, Wesley Bourne, Eddie Abernathy, Trevor Bourne, Larry Steele and Terry Bourne.
Services will be held graveside at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at Old Bokoshe Cemetery, Bokoshe, OK, with Brother Wayne Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow service at Old Bokoshe Cemetery.
Services under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home, Poteau, Oklahoma.
