Theodoshie Doshie Omelia Butler, 94, of Panama, OK, passed away Friday, May 07, 2010, in Fort Smith, AR. She was born July 27, 1915 in Williams, OK to Henry and Emma (Seahorn) Darneal. She married Mace Butler on December 24, 1932, in Williams. She was a homemaker and a member of Panama Freewill Baptist Church.
Doshie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and two sisters.
Doshie is survived by three sons, Eulice Butler and wife Alma Lee of Shady Point, Curtis Pete Butler and wife Nancy of Spiro and Kenneth Butler and wife Carolyn of Shady Point; two daughters, Betty Christenberry and husband Eugene of Cameron and Joyce Dilts and husband Donald of Newcastle, WY.; two sisters Bertha Tackett of Panama and Betty Jean Detamore of Spiro; ten grandchildren, Alan Butler, LaDena Gullick, Michael Butler, Cindy Bear, Rossi Christenberry, Tina Adkins, Dr. Tracy Ragland, Dr. Forrest Ragland, James Butler and Crissy Thompson. 23 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Alan Butler, James Butler, Michael Butler, Dr. Forrest Ragland,
Dr. Tracy Ragland, Rossi Christenberry and John Ross Christenberry.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 10, 2010, at Panama Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Neal Prock officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau. Viewing will be Saturday from 12-8 PM were the family will greet friends from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. No Viewing on Sunday.
