Troy L. Sterling Sr.
Troy Sterling, 68, of Poteau, OK, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 in Poteau. He was born October 4, 1948, at Heavener, OK, to Troy Wilburn Sterling and Floye Opal (Finley) Oliver. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Troy was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include two sons, William Leflore and wife Brandy of Poteau and Troy Sterling Jr. of Poteau; two daughters, Sharon White and Michelle Higgins and husband Wiley, all of Poteau; his mother Floye Oliver of Poteau; a brother Charles Swinney of Heavener; three sisters, Phyllis Hughes of McAlester, Lorrie Winters, and Karen Montgomery both of Poteau; seven grandchildren; as well as numerous other family members, friends, and loved ones.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Howe Cemetery, Howe, OK, with Pastor Victor Sweet officiating. Interment will follow services at the Howe Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home, Poteau, OK.
