Wanda Nixon, 79, McCurtain, OK, passed away January 3, 2012, in Ft. Smith, AR. She was born April 26, 1932, at Milton, OK, to Roy Tackett and Matha (Culwell). She was a twenty seven year retiree from Whirlpool Corporation.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Wayne Tackett.
Wanda is survived by her husband Harold Nixon of the home; a son and daughter-in-law Tommy and Debbie Nixon of Milton, OK; a daughter Debra Restine of Milton, OK; two brothers, Bill Tackett and Sonny Tackett, both of Milton, OK; a sister Wilma Carter of Bokoshe, OK; seven grandchildren, Daniel and wife Crystal Restine, Pete and wife Bambi Restine, Greg Restine, Kenny Nixon, Kevin Nixon, Jeanna and husband Steven Blair and April Nixon; nineteen great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Service will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, January 6, 2012, at Calvary Assembly of God Church, Poteau, OK, with Rev. Lynn Bullard officiating. Interment will follow the service at Milton Cemetery, Milton, OK. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
