Wayne Morgan Bickford
Wayne Morgan Bickford., 68, of Poteau, OK, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013, in Poteau. He was born March 15, 1944, at Sterling, KS to Charles H. and Nita Pearl (Willhoit) Bickford. Wayne Morgan Bickford married Beverly Ann Boling on April 18, 1961, in Claremore, OK. He was a maintenance and equipment supervisor for Farrell Cooper Mines and a small engine mechanic at his home to most who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Leon, Jim, Dean and Leo Bickford; two sisters, Marie and Dolly.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife Beverly of the home; a son, Donnie and wife Twila Bickford of Poteau, OK three daughters, Dneta and husband Doug Carr of Pryor, OK, Karen Childs of Bentonville, AR and Lawayna Williams of Hazelhurst, GA; four brothers Lavan and wife Lorene Bickford, Stanley and wife Ruby Bickford, Joe and wife Trish Bickford and Billy Bickford all of Claremore, OK; a sister Cleta Krummel of CO; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be family.
Service will be held at 3:30 PM, Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Rice Funeral Home Chapel in Claremore, OK, with Bro. Douglas Boling officiating. Interment will follow service at Woodland Cemetery, Claremore, OK. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau, OK.
