William J. Tucker
William J. Tucker, 86, of, Poteau, OK, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 in Poteau. He was born July 9, 1930 at Cameron, OK, to Will and Janie (Hobson) Tucker. He was a veteran of the United States Army (Korean Conflict) and a retired Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Travis, and Harrell Tucker, two sisters, Ocie Myers, and Louise Finton.
Survivors include his wife Judy Tucker of the home, a son Gordon Dale and wife Suzanne Oliver of Poteau, a daughter Angila Genene and husband Bryan Thompson of Monroe, seven grandchildren, Colby Caleb and Conner Oliver, Devan and husband Jimmy Layne, Dalton, Dustin and Daylin Thompson, two great grandchildren, Ryleigh Oliver and Wyatt Layne, two brothers, Herbert and wife Jeanie Tucker of Heavener and Marvin and wife Dottie Tucker of Poteau, two sisters Erma Sullivan of Poteau and Edith Boymar of Texas, as well as a host of other family members, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Service will be held Thursday, January 5, at 2:00 pm at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel in Poteau, OK. Interment at Oakland Cemetery following service. Pastor Leroy Billy and Chaplin Sam Garner, will officiate the services. Viewing will be Wednesday, January 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Grace Manor Funeral in charge of arrangements.
